Terms of sale via the Flytoget app include all conditions associated with purchases made through the Flytoget app. For further information about your passenger rights, see Flytoget’s conditions of carriage. For further information about Flytoget’s use and protection of personal data, please see Flytoget’s personal data protection statement in the Flytoget app or on flytoget.no.

1.     The agreement

The agreement consists of these terms of sale, information provided in the purchase order solution, and any specific terms and conditions agreed by the parties in writing. In case of conflict between the various sources of information, any specific agreement between the parties will take precedence provided this is not in breach of any statutory provisions.

The agreement is further complemented by relevant legislation that regulates the purchase of goods by consumers.

2.     The parties

The seller is Flytoget AS, Biskop Gunnerus’ gate 14 Posthuset, flytoget@flytoget.no23 15 90 00, organisation number 965 694 404, to be referred to as the ‘Seller’ below.

The buyer is the consumer who submits the order, to be referred to as the ‘Buyer’ below.

3.     Price

The price quoted for goods and services is the total price payable by the Buyer. This price is inclusive of all taxes and additional charges to ensure that you, as our customer, has complete predictability.

Prices are given in NOK and are inclusive of VAT.

4.     Entering into an agreement

The agreement is binding to both parties once the Buyer has submitted his/her order to the Seller.

However, the agreement is not binding if the offer made in the Seller’s app includes spelling or typing errors that were identified or should have been identified by the other party.

In order to complete the purchase, you need to enter a valid mobile phone number, an email address and your full name, to enable us to handle your purchase and despatch your tickets and receipt.

You will also need to provide valid payment card details to our payment service provider, Nets.

Your personal data will be handled in accordance with current regulations for the processing of personal data. For further information, please refer to Flytoget’s personal data protection statement.

5.     Payment

The Seller may demand payment for the goods on despatch from the Seller to the Buyer.

Payment is made for standard tickets and tickets with standard discounts when the app confirms the purchase. For customers who are entitled to Flytoget or OSL passes, payment will take place when the bar code is read at the barrier at Oslo Airport.

All purchases and payments are handled by the payment service provider who acts as data processor on Flytoget’s behalf.

The Flytoget app accepts all payment cards that are listed when you register the card in the app.

6.     Delivery

Delivery is deemed to have taken place when the Buyer or his/her representative has received the ticket in the app.

Goods are despatched electronically from the Flytoget app immediately on receipt of your order.

The ticket(s) is/are delivered to the ‘My tickets’ page in the app and are available via the ticket icon on the homepage or by right-swiping in the app.

Receipts are available for despatch by email from the side menu, or you can choose to receive receipts automatically after every purchase.

7.     Right to cancel

In compliance with section 22 of the Norwegian Right to Cancel Act, Flytoget does not offer cancellation rights if there is a set period of validity for using the purchased services.

8.     Using the tickets

In order to use tickets purchased via the Flytoget app, you need to have bought and downloaded them before your journey starts, always ensuring that the tickets are for the correct line section and ticket category. You are responsible for ensuring that the device is available, the screen is readable, and the device has sufficient battery power from the time of boarding until you have passed through Flytoget’s barriers at the ticket’s destination. You may be asked to display your ticket by our on-train inspectors.

Customers covered by a company agreement will have their entitlement identified based on their confirmation of their email address. The ticket category is unique to your company and carries the company name.

Customers who hold a Flytoget pass will have a predefined journey created the first time they use their pass. This can be changed later. The pass will remain on the app until your entitlement expires.

The right to hold a pass is organised by Flytoget in partnership with your employer. Staff at Oslo Airport will have their entitlement automatically identified because they hold a valid ID card for Oslo Airport. Please note that only Avinor issues ID cards and can confirm whether it is valid. The Flytoget pass is personal and non-transferrable.

When travelling from Oslo Airport, tickets are read at the barrier before you go down to the platform. When travelling to Oslo Airport, tickets are read at the barrier on arrival.

Tickets are valid from the time of purchase until you pass through the barriers at the ticket’s destination. Standard tickets will remain available for inspection in the Flytoget app for two hours after you have passed through the Flytoget barrier at the ticket’s destination.

The ticket is valid for a specified period for one journey on a specific line section, irrespective of direction of travel but not for a specific time of travel. You will therefore be able to buy several tickets for later use on the same mobile device. You can also buy tickets for others in your party, provided you travel on the train together. See also Flytoget’s conditions of carriage.

Payment for journeys bought on a Flytoget pass will be made on validation at the barrier. Accordingly, the ticket has no validity period.

Children under the age of 16 do not need a ticket if they are accompanied by an adult. Children will be assisted through the barriers by Flytoget’s personnel, or they may use the children’s portal.

9.     Flytoget’s responsibility for the app

The Flytoget app will normally be available and work without fault. However, the Flytoget app depends on a number of systems and network access in order to work optimally.

The Flytoget app, or some of its functionalities, may occasionally be unavailable, for example during maintenance activities.

Flytoget is not responsible for any direct or indirect loss that you or anybody else may suffer in connection with using the Flytoget app, or if the Flytoget app cannot be used as expected.

Should the Flytoget app display incorrect timetable information and thus cause you to incur costs because you have to arrange for alternative means of transport or take other necessary action, Flytoget’s conditions of carriage will apply.

Flytoget may change the functionalities of the Flytoget app or may choose to discontinue its trading activities.

10. Customer’s responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that you are buying a correct ticket in accordance with our ticket category rules. The Flytoget app provides a link to the rules that apply for each ticket category in connection with ticket purchases. For further information, see flytoget.no.

Customers who hold a Flytoget pass have a predefined journey entitlement that needs to match the journey made. The predefined journey can be adjusted on the ticket prior to travelling.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is correct.

You are responsible for using a valid means of payment.

Please note that safety mechanisms on the Flytoget pass will prevent our barriers from opening if the payment service provider rejects your means of payment. Other safety mechanisms are also in place to limit how frequently a Flytoget pass may be read at Oslo Airport. These mechanisms will not be triggered by normal use of the pass.

You are responsible for backing up the data on your mobile device, and for using and maintaining antivirus software and other protective measures. You are also responsible for updating the Flytoget app whenever new versions are launched.

If you are in material breach of these terms or Flytoget’s conditions of carriage, you may be refused access to the Flytoget app.
